Background

This session, part of the Greenovations seven-part webinar series focused on gender, brings together experts in gender, entrepreneurship, and green growth to catalyze collective action toward achieving gender equality in Africa's green transitions. This session brings together experts, policymakers, innovators, industry leaders and entrepreneurial support organizations to foster dialogue, share knowledge, and inspire action towards creating a more robust, sustainable, gender-responsive green innovation ecosystem across Africa.

Session Objectives/Deliverables

1. Present the result of the Greenovations project study Report "Analysis of the Gender Dimension in Green Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Africa"
2. Strengthen the understanding of the distribution patterns of female green entrepreneurship in Africa and its contributions in driving Africa’s climate transition
3. Highlight the key challenges and support needs of women entrepreneurs in green sectors in Africa
4. Provide the best practices and success models to champion the business journey for women-led green start-ups in Africa
