Background

Organized under the work programme of the Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG) for 2025–2026 and inspired by the NAP 3.0 initiative, the regional workshop is aimed at providing direct individualized support to country teams from the LDCs and SIDS to accelerate the formulation and implementation of NAPs. It will focus on building the capacity of the participants in developing project proposals to implementing adaptation priorities associated with their NAPs, targeting a wide variety of sources and modalities within and outside the UNFCCC Financial Mechanism; as well as in effectively communicating their NAP to different actors with a view to securing support for implementation.
