Background

Public Development Banks (PBDs) particularly smaller national and local institutions, sometimes struggle to scale successful pilot projects due to limited financial and technical resources. For transitioning from policy to practice, and to unlock the full potential of PBDs, FiCS and IDCF invited MDBs, TA providers, International Organizations and all sustainable finance stakeholders to discuss a coordinated approach at the national and international level.

Objectives

This session aims to:

  • Increase global understanding of the importance of technical assistance and capacity-building for PBDs in catalyzing climate and sustainable finance.
  • Foster collaboration among development partners and strengthen the connection between TA providers and PDB beneficiaries.
  • Present innovative tools and models to improve efficiency, impact, and coordination across the financial ecosystem.
  • Present the impact of coordinated TACB at a national approach within the country platform framework.
  • Identify strategies for centralizing TA resources and establishing a more integrated, streamlined approach.
