A meeting of agencies and organizations accredited as delivery partners/implementing agencies/accredited entities under the various Convention funds took place on 13th June with the overall aim to mainstream the idea of NAP 3.0. Agencies and organizations exchanged ideas on supporting NAP 3.0. The meeting recognized the need for diverse sources of financing including innovative financing (sustainability linked bonds, carbon market etc.) and suggested learning from financial instruments being applied in ecosystem/biodiversity programmes such as biodiversity credits. Some of the inputs provided were on the need to synergize between the three Conventional funds and other partners to maximize impact, use of existing mechanisms such as regional hubs to support countries in their climate change efforts.
