Description

Organized under the banner of #Together4Transparency, this event focuses on the importance of transparency, experiences and achievements to date, the Enhanced Transparency Framework and its central role in the Paris Agreement (e.g. NDCs, GST), and how non-Party stakeholders can get involved. 

The session, which will be pursue an interaction with the audience, will strive to convey the importance of climate transparency within the UNFCCC process and at the national level, its cross-cutting nature and the importance of climate data and information for the success of the Paris Agreement. It will also touch upon some of the key benefits of climate transparency for the different groups of stakeholders following the process, from Parties to technical experts, from intergovernmental organizations to NGOs, from local governments to businesses. Strengthening participation of all actors in the ETF will offer new opportunities for cooperation and engagement, and ultimately contribute to building trust and confidence around the process.
