Context

At COP26 in Glasgow, the first global stocktake (GST) was launched with the goal of assessing the collective progress towards achieving the purpose and long-term goals of the Paris Agreement, as well as enhancing the collective ambition of climate action and support. The outcome of the GST in 2023 will inform Parties when updating and upscaling their actions and support, as well as in enhancing international cooperation on climate change. 

In accordance with decision 19/CMA.1 paragraph 23, the secretariat, under the guidance of the co-facilitators of the global stocktake (GST) technical dialogue (TD), has prepared the following synthesis reports for the technical assessment component of the GST: 

 

Webinar on the Secretariat Synthesis Reports to clarify the methodologies and assumptions  

As mandated by paragraph 21 of decision 19/CMA.1, the secretariat will hold a webinar to clarify the methodologies and assumptions used to aggregate the inputs for the synthesis reports on Thursday 12th May, 11:00-14:00 CEST. The webinar will be held in a virtual format.
