The Consultative Group of Experts on National Communications from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention, with the assistance of the secretariat, conducted two regional training workshops on the preparation of biennial update reports from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention (non-Annex I Parties): for the Latin America and the
Caribbean region the workshop was held in Panama City, Panama, from 16 to 18 July 2014, and for the Asia-Pacific and Eastern European regions the workshop was held in Yerevan, Armenia, from 8 to 10 September 2014. The aim of the workshops was to enhance the capacity of national experts from non-Annex I Parties in using the “UNFCCC biennial update reporting guidelines for Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention” and raise awareness of the international consultation and analysis process. This report outlines the proceedings of the workshops and includes a summary of the discussions
