Update of information on the operational procedures for the expedited financing of national communications from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention. Note by the secretariat.

The Conference of the Parties, at its twelfth session, invited the Global Environment Facility (GEF) to provide updated information on the operational procedures for the expedited financing of national communications from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention (non-Annex I Parties) for consideration by the Subsidiary Body for Implementation at its twenty-sixth session (decision 3/CP.12, para. 2(b)). In response to this invitation, the GEF secretariat has provided the secretariat with the required information (see annex); it covers eligibility for GEF support and the preparation of proposals, including a standard format for proposals for the financing of national communications from non-Annex I Parties
