Abstract

The Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), at its eighteenth session, considered The Second Report on the Adequacy of the Global Observing Systems for Climate in Support of the UNFCCC (second adequacy report) and the related GCOS steering committee report. The SBSTA requested Parties to submit to the secretariat, by 15 September 2003, views on the priorities for actions arising from the second adequacy report, with particular reference to the above mentioned GCOS steering committee report. The secretariat has received nine submissions from Parties. In accordance with the procedure for miscellaneous documents, these submissions are contained in this document and reproduced in the language in which they were received and without formal editing
