This report synthesizes the views submitted by Parties and relevant organizations on national adaptation plans. It reports on the process to enable least developed country Parties to formulate and implement national adaptation plans, building upon their experience in preparing and implementing national adaptation programmes of action, and on the modalities and guidelines for the least developed country Parties and other developing country Parties to employ the modalities formulated to support national adaptation plans. This report synthesizes a number of different themes and issues that were raised in the submissions. It concludes with a synthesis of views on the next steps and the launching of the national adaptation plan process.
