The Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice, at its twenty-first session, invited Parties to submit to the secretariat, by 1 March 2006, their views on their experiences using a prototype data interface; on possible improvements, including the extent of its scope and coverage; and on next steps in progressing the work on the interface (FCCC/SBSTA/2004/13, para. 58). It agreed to continue to consider the further development of the interface, with a view to giving the secretariat further guidance on this issue. The secretariat has received one such submission.
