Finance is at the heart of negotiations at COP28. Given the huge gap in funding, discussions this year have increasingly been turning towards innovative sources of finance. The loss and damage fund was established on the first day and since then $655.9m has been pledged towards the fund. However many aspects of the fund remain uncertain, who exactly will be eligible, who will pay into the fund and the scale that is required for it.

This press conference will discuss developments in innovative sources of finance.
