In-session workshop on linkages between the Technology Mechanism and the Financial Mechanism of the Convention

On 21 May 2016, an in-session workshop was held on linkages between the Technology Mechanism and the Financial Mechanism. The workshop was held parallel to the Bonn Climate Change Conference.

Objectives

The in-session workshop provided a platform for the TEC, CTCN, GCF and the GEF to continue to consult on and further elaborate the linkages between the Technology Mechanism and Financial Mechanism. More specifically the workshop aimed to:

(a) Enhance understanding on potential linkages between the Technology Mechanism and Financial Mechanism. And enhance understanding on how to access financial resources for and scale up action on technology development and transfer
(b) Identify ways to enhance coherence and synergies between the Technology Mechanism and Financial Mechanism
(c) Identify ways to enhance cooperation and collaboration between the TEC, CTCN and the operating entities of the Financial Mechanism
