Outcome of the first global stocktake
What does the first global stocktake tell us?
The first global stocktake outcome recognized that progress has been made towards the Paris Agreement goals, reaching near-universal climate action. The outcome also tells us that these efforts are, however, insufficient and that the world is not on track to meet the long-term goals of the Paris Agreement. The world has a narrowing window of opportunity to get back on track.
