Action for Climate Empowerment Hub Youth Event

The Action for Climate Empowerment Hub (ACE Hub) is a collaboration between the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) and UN Climate Change aimed at fostering the implementation of Article 6 of the Convention and Article 12 of the Paris Agreement known as Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE). The over-arching goal of ACE is to empower all members of society to engage in climate action through six ACE elements – climate change education and public awareness, training, public participation, public access to information, and international cooperation on these issues.

The activities of ACE Hub support the implementation of the 10-year Glasgow work programme on ACE and its four-year action plan. This includes providing capacity building, tools and knowledge to children and youth, national ACE focal points and other stakeholders across the world, so that they can better engage the public in climate action and enhance public engagement.

Children and youth are a special focus of the ACE Hub and an event aimed at empowering young leaders to mobilize climate solutions at the city, regional and national levels, in support of Parties’ efforts encouraged under the Paris Agreement will be organized annually.
