By optimizing the use of vehicles and infrastructures, it can enhance efficiency, reduce congestion and help to lower gas emissions. Artificial Intelligence (AI) A.I. has countless applications for transport e.g. automated vehicles, improved itineraries for passengers and transport of goods, support for the planning of transport infrastructure and services, improved energy efficiency of electric or hydrogen vehicles and optimized deployment of charging stations. Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) C-ITS allow the exchange of information among vehicles, and between vehicles and the road infrastructure, which is crucial for the deployment of CAM. It is expected to improve road safety and traffic efficiency.
