Composition & Structure of the National Climate Committee

The National Climate Change Committee is an inter institutional body comprising of representatives from institutions which have relevance to climate change issues. The representatives include the following members and institutions:-
  1. Director of Environment - Chairman
  2. Director of Meteorology - Member
  3. Director of CEEST - Member
  4. Director General of National Environment Management Council (NEMC) - Member
  5. Commissioner for Energy - Member
  6. Director of Forestry - Member
  7. Commissioner of Agriculture and Livestock Development - Member
  8. Director of Fisheries - Member
  9. Director of Heavy Industries - Member
  10. Vice Chancellor University of Dar es Salaam - Member
  11. Representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
