In 1994, the Government enacted the Environmental Protection Act. With the advent of the Environmental prtection Act in 1994, there is ow a ingle legislation which covers the the integrated management of the coastal zone and protection of the atmosphere. The new Act empowers the legal authority to conduct research, surveys and management plans for the coastal regions and develop the appropriate policy responses to the global issue of global climate change.
