National Communications


The Marshall Islands are currently working on the production of those National Communications it is required to produce under the UNFCCC with financial and technical assistance under the PICCAP project. A tentative timetable for production of each element of the National Communication is given below.

An Inventory of Greenhouse Gas Emmissions for the Marshall Islands was produced in 1996 as part of the U.S. Country Studies Program. Under the PICCAP project, this inventory will be reviewed and updated to comply with later IPCC guidelines for the measuring of greenhouse gas emmissions.

A copy of the 1996 study will be made available online (as will copies of all other National Communications) as soon as time and service provider space will allow.
