Jordan and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change:
The National Communication INTERMINISTERIAL STEERING COMMITTEE The interministerial steering committee(ISC) will be charged with overseeing and advising project execution and will have decision -making powers over all aspects of the project. All project reports will be prepared under theISC s authority . The ISC will assist the project coordinator(PC) in formulation of major project initiatives and in periodically reviewing and evaluating key project activities. The ISC composed of representatives from the following institutions : The General Corporation for Environment Protection(Chaiman);Mnistry of Planning ;Ministry of Energy andMiniral Resources ;Ministry of transport /Meteorological Department ;Ministry of Agriculture ;/ Afforestation Department ;UNDP Country Office ;and the project Coordinator. It is expected that after successful completion of the project.TheISC will be charged with the responsibility of dealing with UNFCCC matters on a permanent basis.
