MEETINGS
- The first meeting of interministerial steering committee was held at the General corporation for Environment protection ( GCEP ) on Tuesday 10/9/1996 at 10:00 A.M. . The committee discussed the draft workplan of the project .
- The second meeting was held at the General corporation for Environment protection ( GCEP ) . The committee discussed many matters . such as workshop which was held in Amman 29,September 1996, Emission from Energy sector according to IPCC Reference Approach on 1994 and 1995 .
INITIATION WORKSHOP
The workshop was held as planned on 29 September 1996 .
The workshop was a success and achieved its main purpose introduction of the project and get the main stockholders involved in its implementation . The main recommendations of the workshop are as follows :
- The workshop stressed the need to ensure close cooperation between the main stockholders and the projects team .
- The participants recommended that the concerned government agencies should acquire GHG measuring equipments .
- The workshop requested all the concenred governmental agencies and private firms to extend cooperation and to provide the project team with the available data related to projects activities .
