ENERGY CONSERVATION AND IMPROVMENT OF THERMAL COMFORT OF EXITING AND FUTURE BUILDING IN JORDAN. This project aims to reduce the heat consumption in building by utilizing the following items:
  1. reduce the humidity problem inside the buildings and reduce the maintenance problems and using less construction materials
  2. Give suitable heat level inside the buildings by using the proper insulation materials.
  3. Design and construct model buildings utilizing the results obtained from the study
DURATION OF PROJECT : 5 YEARS.

PLAN OF WORK:
  1. Statistical studies
  2. Developing economical models for energy consumption by utilizing computer techniques. to be as future model for buildings in jordan. Estimated project cost :U$ 3,814,000.


The goverment of jordan will contribute in the cost of this project as (in kind inistration budget U$ 1,900,000) technical experts,official staff from GCEP,RSS,MEMRadm. UTILIZATION OF SOLAR AND WIND ENERGY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE RURAL AND REMOTE AREAS IN JORDAN. THE AIM OF THIS PROJECT IS TO IMPROVE THE LIFE CONDITIONS FOR THE PEOPLE IN JORDAN. BY USING:
  • New sources of energy such as solar and wind energy ,for many life uses of energy (heating ,cooking ,milk techniques,lightening,etc...)
  • New sources of drinking water.
  • To project the environment by reducing the use of the gases which causes the raise of global warming by using the clean sources of energy,water supply system(solar,wind etc) COST OF THE PROJECT. The cost of the project is estimated to be about U$ 4,545,250. The goverment of jordan will contribute in the project as follows:
  • U$ 440,000 in kind cost as administration budget official from the GCEP and MEMR, expecting effective data for implementation project is feb.1997 if afinance is provided by JEF. PROJECT OF BUILDING CAPACITY FOR GHG

At the same time, local capacity to respond to the framework convention on climate change will be promoted through the promotion of GHG inventory assessments.
