Director of Ministry of Strategy and Finance of Korea
He is currently serving as director of Green Climate Policy Division, Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Republic of Korea. He manages climate finance and green climate policies of Korean government by planning strategies on climate policies and coordinating global climate change cooperation affairs with the GCF (Green Climate Fund), UNFCCC (UN Framework Convention on Climate Change) and other internal and global partners.
Before assuming the present position, he worked as a liaison officer in the World Bank Group to strengthen partnership between the World Bank Group and Korean government. He also engaged deeply in the international development policies of Korea by conducting formulation and implementation of Korea’s official development assistance programs such as KSP (Knowledge Sharing Program), and EDCF (Economic Development Cooperation Fund). He contributed to improvement of various development finance policies in Korean development architecture.
He was also one of the key members of the President Committee for G20 Summit, when Korea hosted the summit in 2010. Mr. Ji finished Ph.D. course work completion in law at Korea University (2011), and acquired LL.M. in law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School (2005). He is a bachelor of International Relations, Seoul National University (1995). He has two daughters and a son with his beloved wife in Seoul.
