New: COP25 will now be held in Madrid, Spain from 2 to 13 December 2019, and Chile will still hold the Presidency of COP until December 2020. The UNFCCC Secretariat and the Presidency are currently making decisions so that COP25 is carried out along the same lines that were initially conceived for Santiago. Thus, having representation of Chilean NGOs at COP25 continues to be essential for the Presidency.
In this sense, we have launched a process to identify which Chilean organizations out of the original 271 organizations that have been found eligible to receive badges will actually be able to participate at COP 25 in Madrid. We would like to call your attention to the fact that the quota will be of 3 (three) badges per organization.
In order to proceed with the next steps of the special accreditation process, we would like to kindly ask you to please assess the possibility for your delegation to participate at COP25 in Madrid. After making sure which delegates will be able to travel to Spain for the conference, please fill out the questionnaire and nominate them under the link below:

Please note the deadline for submitting your data: 12 NOV 2019, 23:59 CET.

The following page provides information on the participation of Chilean NGOs at COP 25:
In accordance with Article 7, paragraph 6 of the UNFCCC Convention, Parties to the Convention, United Nations and related organizations and agencies, media and already admitted non-profit observer organizations may attend the sessions of the Convention. Conferences are not open to the public.
If your organization is not admitted, i.e. does not carry official observer status with the UNFCCC and you have missed the deadline for admission, or if your organization is not eligible for admission, the representatives of your organization have the option of being nominated and confirmed to attend sessions by already-admitted observer organizations who agree to include your observers in their delegations.
For Chilean NGOs, a special procedure had been put in place to enable enhanced access to Chilean NGOs which are not admitted as observers in the UNFCCC process. The Secretariat, with support from the Government of Chile and the already admitted observer constituency focal points, had identified organizations that can help support the participation of Chilean NGOs at COP 25 exclusively.
Given the change of venue we are relaunching the process of gathering the data of Chilean NGOs that will be able to participate in COP 25 in Madrid.
In order to facilitate this, the Secretariat has made an online form available (in English). Chilean NGOs who wish to actively participate at COP25 and enter in the “Blue Zone” are kindly requested to fill out this online form, submitting relevant details and providing supporting documentation, at the latest by ??? November 2019. Please note that the submission can only be processed in English.
English: https://www.surveymonkey.de/r/ChileNGO-COP25
Spanish: https://www.surveymonkey.de/r/ChileNGO-COP25?lang=es (please note that responses should be submitted in English).
Once your submission is received by the above deadline, the Secretariat and Government of Chile will undertake a short assessment and notify the applicants accordingly.
Please note that all organizations participating in the COP 25 are responsible for ensuring that their delegates adhere to all UNFCCC guidelines. Chilean NGOs submitting participation requests are responsible for ensuring compliance. Please find the links to our guidelines below:
