Participant access and instructions

The virtual conference platform is not longer accessible. Please visit the public webcast page to see replays of open meetings.

 

Participation at the May-June 2021 sessions was reserved for UNFCCC Parties, observer States, admitted observer organizations, UN and media representatives registered by their respective focal points in the Official Registration System and those invited to take part in specific meetings.
 

Preliminary setup

Meetings Apps

Download the latest version of Microsoft Teams. Please find the hardware requirements for MS Teams on the Microsoft website.

  • Hard-wire your internet into your computer instead of using WIFI.
  • Check your internet bandwidth. It should be at least 15–20 Mbps for downloads and 5 Mbps for uploads.
  • Ensure only one device is using your bandwidth during the time you are presenting to optimize your performance.
     

Sound (audio and microphone)

  •  Use an external headset with microphone incorporated (wired-in is best, NO Bluetooth).


Browser

  • To access the Delegate area, preferred browser is Google Chrome. An alternative is Microsoft Edge. Same browsers apply for Apple Mac devices. Please note that Internet Explorer, Safari, or Firefox are not fully supported.

Setting up the stage

  • Find a quiet space with a plain background and place your computer on a flat surface.
  • Make sure your face is well lit. Use a light ring or natural light from a window.
  • Camera should be at eye level so you are looking directly at the camera.
  • If you'd like, you can use one of five conference-branded Teams background images in your meetings. The files are accessible for download on the homepage of the virtual conference platform.
