The Agreement shall enter into force on the 30th day after the date on which at least 55 Parties to the Convention accounting in total for at least an estimated 55 % of the total global greenhouse gas emissions have deposited their instruments of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will convene a high-level signature ceremony for the Paris Agreement on 22 April 2016 in New York.

The Paris Agreement can only be successful if everyone fully supports it and helps bring it to life – from national, regional and local leaders; from investors and businesses to citizens who desire to live in a safe and prosperous world, and who want to actively shape that world.
