Join UNFCCC meetings online

Welcome to the login page for UNFCCC meetings.

Please read the information below to ensure your system is compatible before logging into the Delegate area.

To log in, use the email account where you received the invitation to the meeting. More information on the login process can be found below.

To access the Delegate area, you can use any modern browser. Please note that Internet Explorer is not supported. 

If using an Apple Mac users, please ensure you have the MS Teams desktop application installed or use the Chrome browser. You will not be able to properly connect to the meeting within the browser if you use Safari or Firefox.

The hardware requirements for joining meetings using the Microsoft Teams meeting platform can be found on the Microsoft website or in the following file:

Pressing the Delegate login button takes you to the UNFCCC login page. Microsoft Security services are used to secure this meeting.  

To log in, use the email account where you received the invitation to the meeting.  

If that email account is an MS Exchange or Microsoft account, you will be prompted to enter the password you usually use for that account. UNFCCC will not have access to your password or other private security details. 

If it’s a non-Microsoft email account, a security code will be sent to that email address by UNFCCC (via Microsoft). Enter this code (copy-paste it) on the login page to proceed. 

The first time you access the delegate area you have to confirm that: 

  • Microsoft can access your login details from your Microsoft or Exchange account. This is a very standard procedure. 

  • You agree to the code of conduct for UNFCCC conferences and meetings. 

Once you have given your approval you will be able to access the delegate area.

I can see the meeting, but how do I join? 

Each meeting will be opened one hour before the actual time of the meeting. When the meeting is opened you will see the Join button in the calendar as well in the details for that meeting. Simply press the button to join. 

Can I receive technical support? 

An online help desk is available for the duration of the budget briefing. For assistance, use the “Chat with support” widget on the bottom right of this page.

You can contact our support team right from this page as well as from your personal calendar page after you have logged into the Delegate area. 

Once logged in, you will see a test meeting in the calendar for you to join to test your setup. These meetings will be staffed by support staff during specific hours, specified in the invitation email and/or the meeting description.
 

My internet connection is quite poor, can I get support to improve this? 

If you’re having difficulties connecting to the Teams meeting or the connection is of poor quality, contact the online help desk through the support chat widget on this page, or on the calendar page after logging in. The help desk staff will dial you into the meeting (they will ask for a telephone number if none has been provided).
