UN Climate Change invites journalists to join a virtual media briefing about the upcoming Latin America and Caribbean Climate Week 2019 on Tuesday, 13 August 2019 – With sessions in English and Spanish.
The 45-minute session in English will start at 7:00 am Costa Rica time (GMT-6) / 3 pm Bonn time (GMT+2).
About the webinar
Amidst growing calls for stronger and faster climate action, the Latin America and Caribbean Climate Week 2019 (LACCW) is set to boost the region’s response to the current climate emergency. The LACCW will take place in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil, from 19 to 23 August 2019. The results of the LACCW will feed into the outcome of the Climate Action Summit organized by the UN Secretary-General on 23 September in New York.
UN Climate Change experts will explain what is the Latin America and Caribbean Climate Week and what to expect from this event. This webinar will be in English and another one will be held in Spanish immediately after. Questions for experts will be received in advance up to 24 hours before the webinar.
