The Summary Report of the 14th meeting of the Research Dialogue is now available

The SBSTA research dialogue provides a setting to discuss needs for climate change research and research-related capacity-building, particularly those of developing countries, and to convey research findings and lessons learned from activities undertaken by regional and international research programmes and organizations.

Each dialogue is themed according to the submissions of Parties. The fourteenth meeting of the research dialogue was themed around four topics: "Near term climate projections and regional modelling", "Ocean and Cryosphere", "Carbon Dioxide Removal" and "Integrated solutions for adaptation and resilience".

Guiding questions suggested by the SBSTA Chair were:

  • What are the latest research findings and lessons learned, particularly at regional level?
  • What are specific needs for national and regional research and research capacity building for developing countries?
