Description

The webinar will explore the key elements and characteristics of robust national MRV systems in the context of the UNFCCC and the Paris Agreement. The event places an emphasis on sharing lessons learnt and good practices. This will be done by presenting practical examples from countries in Eastern and Southern Africa and having an exchange of ideas on these examples. Further, some examples of support available for developing MRV systems will also be presented.

This webinar is organized by the Regional Collaboration Centre (RCC) Kampala with the support of the UNFCCC secretariat and UNEP through the Global Support Programme (GSP).

Target audience

State and non-state climate change stakeholders including government officials (UNFCCC focal points, DNA, and NDC focal points), development partners, other sectoral experts, NGOs and private sector.
