Under this agenda sub-item, the CMA adopted a decision entitled: Second review of the Paris Committee on Capacity-building.
Conclusions adopted as follows:
The Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement requested the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice and the Subsidiary Body for Implementation to continue consideration of this matter at their sixty-second sessions (June 2025) on the basis of the informal note, which includes a compilation annex, available on the UNFCCC website with a view to recommending a draft decision for consideration and adoption by the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement at its seventh session (November 2025).
The CMA noted that this informal note was prepared by the co-facilitators as an effort to capture the progress and views of Parties that took place at this session, has not been agreed upon, does not reflect consensus, is not exhaustive, and has no formal status; and does not prejudge further work or prevent Parties from expressing any further views.
This matter will be included on the provisional agenda of the next session in accordance with rule 16 of the draft rules of procedures being applied.

The CMA requested the subsidiary bodies to continue consideration of this matter at their sixty-second sessions (June 2025) with a view to recommending a draft decision for consideration and adoption by the CMA at its seventh session (November 2025).

The CMA continued to consider this matter at this session and noted that Parties expressed views thereon, including those reflected in the non-exhaustive compilation of in‑session submissions available on the UNFCCC website at unfccc.int/documents/644017.
The CMA agreed to continue consideration of this matter at its eighth session, to be held in November 2026.
The CMA welcomed the 2023 and 2024 reports.
