6th August 2020 

In response to requests for training received from Designated National Authorities (DNAs) of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), UN Climate Change’s Regional Collaboration Centres (RCCs) in Bangkok and Dubai are jointly organizing a series of DNA Virtual Workshops on topics of interest for DNAs in the region with the support of our host partners the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO).  

The second session of the DNA Virtual Workshop was successfully held on the 6th of August 2020 and focused on Standardized Baselines (SBs) and their Applications. DNA representatives from over 13 countries, from the Pacific and Southeast Asia to South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East and North Africa, joined the second session. 

The plenary of the second session was followed by two optional technical clinics on the development of Waste and Transport SBs.  

The third session of the workshop is planned to take place later this year with a focus on international and domestic carbon markets.
