Item 2 (e) of the provisional agenda
1. In addition to the list of intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations contained in document FCCC/CP/1998/14, the secretariat has prepared a further list of intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, whose applications for accreditation as observers have been received since the deadline of 20 August 1998.
2. This further list of intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations (see annex) has been considered by the Bureau of the Conference of the Parties. The Bureau has found no objections to the organizations included on this list and these organizations have been advised of their "pre-admittance status" for the fourth session of the Conference of the Parties on the understanding that the final authority of admission rests with the Conference of the Parties.
3. The Conference of the Parties is invited to accord observer status to the organizations contained in this addendum in addition to those in document FCCC/CP/1998/14.
