General bibliographical references 3
List of national communications 23
List of documents of the eleventh session of the Intergovernmental
Negotiating Committee for a Framework Convention on Climate Change
27
Addresses of publishers 36
GE.95
1. At the sixth, eighth and tenth sessions of the
Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee for a Framework Convention on
Climate Change, lists of publications drawn from the bibliographic
databases of the interim secretariat were distributed (see
A/AC.237/Misc.24, A/AC.237/Misc.24/Add.1 and
A/AC.237/Misc.24/Add.2).
2. The current bibliography contains about 250 references (from
MFN 1402 to MFN 1658) which have been added to the databases since
August 1994. All references are listed in alphabetical order
according to title (and no longer by MFN number). Documents of the
eleventh session of the Committee and all national communications
received at the interim secretariat before 16 March 1995 are listed
separately. In addition, addresses of publishers are no longer
included in the references, but appear at the end of the
bibliography.
3. The interim secretariat hired a full time librarian to
reorganize and manage its library and databases. The library
collects, processes and disseminates information and documentation on
climate change and related topics, and serves as an archival unit for
the official documents of the Committee and the Conference of the
Parties (COP). It also maintains the bibliographic databases CLIMA
(containing more than 1600 references to books, reports and articles)
and CC:PER (containing about 200 references to periodicals). These
databases have recently been revised, and the presentation of
bibliographical references standardized; in the near future,
references will also include keywords.
4. Diskettes containing CLIMA and CC:PER databases will be
distributed at the end of the first session of the COP. Upon request,
the library can also provide lists of references on specific
subjects, as well as copies of official Committee and COP documents.
All publications are available for consultation in the library of the
Climate Change Secretariat, Room C.511, Geneva Executive Centre,
11-13 Chemin des Anémones, Châtelaine,
Geneva.
5. The inclusion of a reference in this bibliography does not
reflect any endorsement of the publication by the United Nations or
by any of its specialized agencies. Readers may reprint the contents
for further distribution, provided the source is cited.
6. Readers of this bibliography are encouraged to continue sending
books, articles, periodicals and other relevant information to the
library.
