If you are going to actively participate remotely in meetings (i.e. Join), you will need to have the latest version of Microsoft Teams software installed on your computer or mobile device.
MS Teams is the default software being used for most virtual meetings.
Please take note of the hardware requirements for MS Teams on the Microsoft website.
To simply watch meetings in the platform, no additional software is required.

Essential connectivity tips
-
Use a hard-wired Internet connection to your computer. This is more stable than using WIFI.
-
Check your internet bandwidth. It should be at least 15–20 Mbps for downloads and 5 Mbps for uploads.
-
Ensure only one device is using your Internet bandwidth during the time you are presenting. This will result in better quality connection to the video call software.
Sound and video
-
Use an external headset with microphone incorporated (wired-in is best, NO Bluetooth).
-
If you want to test your device and set-up, please take the time to join a test meeting inside the COP 28 platform.
Browser
-
To access the Platform the preferred browser is Google Chrome. An alternative is Microsoft Edge. Same browsers apply for Apple Mac devices. Please note that Internet Explorer, Safari, or Firefox are not fully supported.

Setting up the stage for your video call
-
Find a quiet space with a plain background and place your computer on a flat surface.
-
Make sure your face is well lit. Use a light ring or natural light from a window.
-
Camera should be at eye level so you are looking directly at the camera.
