Promoting and enhancing national and international cooperative action on the development and transfer of environmentally sound technologies to developing country Parties are critical to supporting action on mitigation and adaptation.
TNAs assist in identifying and analysing priority technology needs. They can be the basis for projects using environmentally sustainable technologies (ESTs) and programmes which can facilitate the transfer of, and access to, ESTs and know-how.
The Technology Executive Committee was established to facilitate the effective implementation of the Technology Mechanism, under the guidance of the COP.
The Climate Technology Centre and Network shall facilitate a network of national, regional, sectoral and international technology networks, organizations and initiatives.
