At this COP 24 side event, the panelists present the key technology themes and achievements of the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism in 2018. An update will also be provided on the ongoing collaboration between the Technology Mechanism and the Green Climate Fund. Participating speakers included: the Chair of the Technology Executive Committee, the Director of the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), the Chair of the Advisory Board of the CTCN, and country practitioners. The Technology Mechanism supports countries in developing and transferring climate technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to a changing climate. Its two bodies, the Technology Executive Committee and the Climate Technology Centre and Network, work together to address policy and implementation issues related to climate technology efforts.
