The Rio Conventions are seeking contributions aimed at raising public awareness around the central theme of
United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development and demonstrating the importance and value of synergy
provided through the work of the three Conventions, especially to showcase how the private sector does and
may collaborate with CBD, UNCCD and UNFCCC in building momentum for change.
The duration of this campaign is from 1 April 2012 until 31 December 2013. Thereafter, the campaign will be
deemed to have been completed, the project will be closed and the products taken out of circulation. At the
closure of the project, the electronic products and other website content will be transferred, as deemed
appropriate, to the Rio Conventions Pavilion website maintained by the Convention on Biological Diversity.
Depending on the options selected, the total value of any proposal for in-kind provision of products or
services should not exceed Euro 600,000.

as the portal for information about private sector participation and contributions to the Rio Conventions
processes (biodiversity, land management – SLM Business Forum - and climate change) and sustainable
development. Private sector content could take the form of web pages, videos or downloads
Publications, preferably in e-formats but also in print, that are produced in close coordination with the
secretariats on how business can contribute to sustainable development through action to address biodiversity
loss, land degradation and climate change as well as other key ecological components such as water and
forests.

information to public in English, and if feasible, other UN languages or Portugese throughout the Conference
