Zambia Country Study on Climate Change

A multi-disciplinary project team was constituted to carry out the climate change study. The project was funded by the Germany Technical Assistance (GTZ) to enable Zambia to fulfil its commitment to the UNFCCC. As a result of the study, GHG emission inventories were compiled as input and contribution to the preparation of the national communication for Zambia. The communication would in turn set the stage for a national information on Zambiaâs share of contribution of GHG emissions. The study further identified a number of climate change mitigation options falling under two broad categories (1) supply-side options and (2) demand-side options. The results of this study are in three volumes of which volume 1 has been published by GTZ.
