COP 18/CMP 8 President's speech at the Petersberg Climate Dialogue IV 6-7 May

In his

fourth Petersberg Climate Dialogue, COP 18/CMP 8 President H.E. Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiya
reiterated the responsibility of governments to move quickly through the Doha Climate Gateway agreed at
COP 18 and push forward with the solutions to climate change at the national and international levels.
He said that the fruitful dialogue heard at the meeting was helpful in identifying the important
milestones for the work ahead.

The ADP Co-Chairs Jayant
Moreshver Mauskar (India) and Harald Dovland (Norway) convened a special event
with observers (68 kB) on 2 May (13:15 - 14:45 local Bonn time). This special event was designed to
provide observers with an opportunity to present and exchange views contributing to the substantive
discussions under the ADP. Observers not physically present in the room were invited to participate
virtually with the help of live webcast

Media advisory: Governments and observer organizations to meet in Bonn to discuss 2015 global
climate agreement, raising pre-2020 ambition 23 April 2013
Governments will convene in a week's time in Bonn, Germany for discussions on the scope, structure
and design of the 2015 global climate agreement. The agreement is to enter into force from 2020, and is
to apply to all signatories of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

2013. The Kyoto Protocol will enter into force for Afghanistan on 23 June 2013.

deposited instruments of ratifications/accessions/approvals/acceptances to 192.
