To coincide with UN Climate Change Talks in Doha, the UNFCCC Secretariat is organizing a two-week media
training workshop as a capacity-building initiative for developing country journalists.
The workshop is jointly organized with Com+, the sustainable
development communications alliance. It has been made possible through capacity-building support provided by
Spanish and Norwegian Governments along with Com+,the sustainable
development communications alliance.
The invited participants are journalists from Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean. The main
topics covered are climate change science and key issues discussed by Parties in Doha
On 4 December, as part of its programme for Doha, the Climate Change Media Partnership (CCMP) will organize a Climate Communication Day with
different panelists speaking on topics such as how to reach new audiences and climate change in the context
of the social web. This event is open to all interested media; subject to capacity (registration is
required).
The bulk of Com+ presentations
are open to all developing country media on site, subject to space limitations.
