Internship Programme
The Communications and Media Unit provides opportunities for graduate and postgraduate students with
curricula in the fields of communications, media relations, journalism and public relations to gain
experience from non-paying internships at the UNFCCC secretariat in Bonn, Germany.
The internships are designed to meet the interests of students and include projects involving press/media
accreditation, public information, public relations and outreach and working with the UNFCCC website.
Applicants must meet the requirements of the UNFCCC Internship Programme and should demonstrate an interest
in climate change related issues and in the United Nations. Interested applicants should contact the
Communications and Media Unit outlining the kind of work that they would like to undertake.
Every attempt is made to match an applicant with a current project. Applicants can be accepted at any
time during the calendar year for a period of no less than 2 months and no greater than 6 months.
