Third Meeting of the Reconstituted Consultative Group of Experts on National Communications
from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention (CGE)

The third meeting of the CGE focussed on reviewing the relevance of the existing CGE training materials for the training workshops planned for 2011. A preliminary review of the existing training materials based on the recommendations outlined in document FCCC/SBI/2010/21/Add.1 was conducted. A paper containing the outcome of the survey results corresponding to paragraph 2 (b) of its work programme related to identify and assess the difficulties, challenges and problems encountered by non-Annex I Parties in using the UNFCCC guidelines in the preparation of their most recent national communications.
The CGE focussed its discussions on the preparation of this training workshop, including its design and approach, as well as on the preparation of the workshop to exchange views on possible elements to be considered in the future revision of the UNFCCC guidelines for the preparation of national communications from non-Annex I Parties planned for March 2011.
