of the project and will exclusively commercialize it.

Madre de Dios Amazon REDD Project has achieved validation according to the VCS Standard. In this way,
it has become the first REDD Project in the Peruvian Amazon to have achieved the double validation
following two of the most stringent and prestigious Standards at a worldwide level: VCS + CCB Gold.
In December 2009, the Madre de Dios Amazon REDD Project was approved according to the Climate, Community
and Biodiversity Standards. Due to its high social and environmental sustainability the project
obtained Gold Level, being one of the first REDD projects to achieve said status:

The project has been registered in the Markit Environmental Registry, as another
step towards its future registration in the VCS (Voluntary Carbon Standard). The project sold its first
