» Greenoxx Global Environmental Program – The Madre de Dios Amazon REDD
Project
Madre de Dios Amazon Project has been developed by Greenoxx
NGO, who also financed an important part of the project and will exclusively commercialize
it.

Madre de Dios Amazon REDD Project (610 kB)
In December 2009, the Madre de Dios Amazon REDD Project was approved according to the Climate,
Community and Biodiversity Standards. Due to its high social and environmental sustainability
the project obtained Gold Level, being one of the first REDD projects to achieve said status:

The project has been registered in the Markit Environmental Registry, as
another step towards its future registration in the VCS (Voluntary Carbon Standard). The project
sold its first tons of CO2 in May 2010, at a USD 7 price per carbon certificate.

» Amazonas Sustainable Foundation – The Juma Sustainable Development Reserve
Project: Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Deforestation in the State of Amazonas,
Brazil
The Amazonas Sustainable Foundation is a public-private, independent and non-profit,
non-governmental institution of public interest and without political party connections. It was
founded in December, 2007, by the Amazonas State Government and the Bradesco Bank, according to its
bylaws, approved by the State Public Ministry, in the title recorded at civil registry, according
to federal and state laws.
