Bona fide representatives of the national and international media can apply for accreditation to the
conference. Only one accreditation is required and will cover participation in the sessions of both ad
hoc working groups.

Frequently asked questions about media accreditation

• All participants are requested to register upon arrival at the desk located in the Tianjin
Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center (MJCEC).
• A valid photo ID should be presented to the registration staff.
• As of Saturday, 2 October, the "no registration, no access" rule will be strictly
applied and will be enforced throughout the period of the sessions.
• Early registration on Saturday, 2 October or Sunday, 3 October, is highly recommended in order
to avoid delays.
Registration times:
Saturday, 2 October to Sunday, 3 October 2010, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Monday, 4 October to Saturday, 9 October 2010, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Double registration for the session is not permitted (i.e., observer organization representative and
State representative or observer organization representative and press/media representative).
Press badges issued at previous UNFCCC conferences do not remain valid. Members of the press must be
accredited for each meeting.
Badges are essential in order for participants to gain access to the premises. They are issued only on
the basis of accreditation as a media professional representing a bona fide media organization.
For security reasons, all participants are requested to wear their badges at all times.
Visas
All foreign delegates entering the People\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s Republic of China must have a valid
passport. Participants requiring a visa for China, or a transit visa, are strongly encouraged to
contact the appropriate consular authorities as soon as the notification is received. To facilitate the
issuance of a visa, a copy of this notification should be attached to the visa request.

Please be informed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s Republic of
China has informed its diplomatic missions that international meetings of the UNFCCC and its Kyoto
Protocol are being held in Tianjin. Approved applicants should attach a copy of their accreditation
confirmation to the visa application, in lieu of an invitation letter.
Participants are responsible for making their own accommodation arrangements. If you require assistance
