Biodiversity and climate change are closely linked. Climate change is a threat to biodiversity; it is, for example, the most important long-term danger to polar bears. Sustainable management of ecosystems is a way to counter-act climate change. RTCC fully supports the work of the Rio Conventions in creating frameworks for effective sustainable development.
