Marcia Kure (Nigeria) Born in Kano, Nigeria, Ms Kure graduated with a B.A (Painting) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (1994). Her works have been exhibited in Nigeria, the USA, and Germany. Ms Kure has participated in twenty-seven group shows in Africa, Europe and North America and has done studio residencies in Germany and the USA. She was awarded the Uche Okeke Prize for Drawing (1994), the UNESCO-Aschberg Bursaries for Artists (1999), and was included in the Multichoice Africa "African Artists of the Future" calendar (2002).
