Subrata Bhowmick (India) He is a graphic designer and creative director, other areas of specialization are textile design, product design and exhibition design. He was the Design Director of The Calico Museum of Textiles and The Calico Design Centre in Ahmedabad, and the Design Editor for Marg Publication, a famous art books publishing house in Mumbai. He is perhaps India’s most lauded designer with over 50 prestigious national and international awards in graphics, advertising, photography and book design. He was twice the Art Director of the Year and several times Photographer of the Year in India. His design works have been exhibited in many international Biennials. By now he had made more than 40 calendars, most of them on fabrics, based on traditional Indian designs.
