Marrakech Climate Change Conference - November 2016

Information for members of the press

  • Accreditation

Media accreditation for the UN Climate Change Conference in Marrakech has been open since the beginning of July and the secretariat has been processing a large volume of applications. The secretariat indicated a quota would be enforced, and that applications would be processed until the deadline of 17 October or when the quota was reached, whichever came first.

As of 10 October, the quota was reached and our deadline for COP 22 was 17 October.  Accreditations are now at the maximum level in relation to the physical capacity of the conference and media facilities, taking into account other participants and fire and security regulations.
